Checking In…

Hi everyone!

I know you haven’t heard from me in a while…BUT I wanted to give you a quick update on all things Stephanie. The past few months have been abnormally crazy with my job. I had to coordinate our entire office move into a new building. (CRAZY). There were many times where I felt like I was going to break down. There were so many movie parts that all needed to align for this to happen and… it did. The move probably went incredibly smooth. Probably as smooth as it could have been. So my running and training kind of had to take a backseat as I worked through this office move.

And it’s DONE. *breathes a sigh of relief*

NOW. What’s next? The short answer is… I’m not sure. My last trail race at Born to Run (recap posted below) went really well but I haven’t been able to keep up with my training and building my endurance as much as I want to. I thought about the NoName 30k (18 miles) at the end of October but that’s starting to seem a little out of reach. I’ve also been dealing with a few minor annoying injuries. My podiatrist told me that I have a bunion forming on my right foot which also started to hurt and really stiffen up over the past couple of week BUT that last 2 days have been pain free. The only real way to fix a bunion is surgery and that’s 8 weeks of recovery. It sounds awful; especially because I want to really train for The North Face Endurance Challenge San Francisco this year. My running buddy Britt and I have our sights set on the marathon relay and we would each do a half marathon…

SO as I work through this minor injuries and start to test the waters of training again, I’m going to take it one day at a time. Maybe another trail race before North Face? That would be ideal but I also have to keep the big picture in mind. In the meantime, I’m going to continue to enjoy my friends and go on as many adventure as my silly feet will allow me to.

xoxo

Stephanie
